  • Taylorcraft Parts

I need to make a little room in my hangar, so it's time to pass on a few spare parts.
85 horse engine mount in great shape, $200
Stainless exhaust system that looks like new, with heat muffs. $700
New canvas baggage sack, 6 qt oil tank blanket, seaplane fin, 2 new windshields, used tail brace wires, make me an offer I can't refuse!
I also have some C85 engine cores and cases.
Bill 9O7-250 54 two three. Thanks

Update. The engine mount, exhaust system, baggage sack, and one windshield have been sold.

Unfortunately I don't have any of those specific parts. Hopefully someone else here will.

          Re: Taylorcraft Parts

Silvano, unfortunately you will find that those bands from almost ANY plane will not fit ANY OTHER plane! I made several for my 41 before I got a set to fit.

I got long rolls of stiff paper WAY too wide and wrapped it around the wing from the TE of the lower side and up and around the top to the back again. You put it on the wing OUTBOARD of where it should fit and slide it up to touch the fuselage side. Then trim the paper about 5 or 6" out so it will slide up and fit tight to the fuselage. Now the top will be well over the fuselage so you can trim it to where it is straight with overlap all the way from TE to LE. Last you trim the outboard edge for overlap of the root rib all the way around.

Simple right? You will spend more time getting the edge against the windshield than the rest of the job!

Lastly, the right side will be completely different from the left. If you do it right it will look like the job was really easy and no one will know both sides are completely different.

          Hank

          PS
The second plane you do will be MUCH easier than the first. Be prepared to throw away a few bands. Rolls of flashing are great to make them from. Try LOWE'S aircraft supply. Airport Depot sometimes has good prices too. The bands are NOT structural and WAY stronger than the loads they see.

Hello. I was wondering if the exhaust system was still available and what engine it is for? Thanks, Darrin

No extra wheels. The engine mount, baggage sack, one windshield, and exhaust system have been sold. Many thanks to this forum group! I do still have the C85 engine and engine cores.
                      Thanks, Bill

Are you looking for Shinn wheels, the standard ones on a T-craft?

T-craft uses tapered axles 1-1/4" inboard and about 3/4" outboard.

I have some SHINN 1'1/2 wheels already, what plane used them, would not mind back up set.
