  • Bubble face compass

If you're looking for a Taylorcraft bubble face compass, I'm putting this one up for sale. I sent it to Keystone Instruments, where they put new gaskets fluid and a paint job to it for $245. I decided not to use it in my 41 BC12. So if you're intrested, please contact me. As you know, they don't come cheap, so make an offer if intrested.

    Thanks,
    Norm G

That looks very nice. Why did you not decide to use it?

I'm not in the market myself, but my gut feeling is about $5-600 retail, maybe a bit more. If you don't get an offer here that you're happy with, try eBay or equivalent.

    Just my opinion.

Unless they have dropped pretty bad in the last few years I think $5-600 is pretty low. One THAT nice with the dome and pylon was more like the $1,000 range when I did mine. They are VERY hard to find here, especially the 41 type with the round face cover hole instead of the square one.

If they are more common in GB please let us know. You might be able to make some nice profit!

No, they're not common at all!
