I am trying to find 2 undercarriage legs and wheels and brakes for my L2 under rebuild. Also I am short of the cockpit winder trim mechanism and box for the carb heat mag switch etc on the port cockpit wall. Can you help me I have the only L2 in the United Kingdom (England).

the side panel for the controls i have. I also have right gear legs. Short on left gears legs, wheels and brakes.

I need a right wing rib.........4th in from the tip (counting the last small rib) on a '46 BC12D. I think the book calls it 1401-1R, 1402-1R, and 1404-1R.....preferably in one piece. Appreciate your help.

I have plenty of ribs. most have had the rivets drilled and separated. easier to remove that way.

I am going to start liquidating all my inventory except for what i need to build 2 airplanes. I have a tons of parts, so ask away. I do not have any struts or nice cowling available. Parts will be reasonably priced, I am also willing to sell all of it in one lump sum if someone wants a deal, would take probably 2 ryder trucks to move it all. I am also looking for a couple things like rudders and a F-21 nose bowl. Once everyone here has had a shot i will start listing on ebay.

If the door handle is the same, I can machine the shaft to the right length. Could be the L-2 and BL-12-65 had different thickness doors. Do you have nay photos of the handle?

I got some that are 4-3/4 overall length. They were under L-2 part number. I have to check with a buddy to make sure has a handle, if he does I have one extra at the moment. I still have other places to look.

The square shaft comes out of the large diameter part that holds the handle away from the door surface just over 2" (about 1/16" over). Overall height from the end of the 1/4" square shaft to the outside face of the handle is 4 3/8".

I have a pair of very rare metal spar BC12D wings with minor ground loop damage to tips, still covered. I would sell for the right price. I dont think they need spars but would have to cut the fabric to be sure.

Hank, how long is the shaft? I think they are the same as L-2 with exception to the shaft length.

yes im looking for wheels and brakes and a tail wheel and a instrament panel any help would be great .

I have a few intrument panels, doubt I have any good gear or extra wheels.

There was NO WAY I was going to try and tap this from SS! I figured if I could make the outer skin from Aluminum I might give it a try. I can cast a new core if I can make a decent skin, but a replacement is the real solution. I just can't resist seeing if I can reproduce old technologies. I think the original skin was probably stamped then deep drawn. Probably a pot metal core and the flange edges were pressed down to hold it together. I would really like to X-Ray it and see if it is just a square steel shaft with a 90* bend in the handle.

outer handle is stainless. I know I have one, I just have to find it.

Mike, did you ever see any of those 41 exterior door handles? I have started shaping a skin to match the outside of one from aluminum. If I can tap out a new handle skin I will try to make a duplicate. I wonder how they made that outer skin originally. I will bet you they didn't hand tap it from an aluminum sheet! The hand made on is on the bottom. Needs some more work.
