    3-Hinge pre-war rudder? But 2-hinge elevators.

    Strange for the N number.

Looks familiar but is not in the FAA registry any more. Anyone remember who was the last owner?

Looks like it used to be a really nice unique little taylorcraft. Now in need of some much needed tlc. The finish is very cracked up and peeling. Would certainly make someone an ideal restore project because it's all there.

I could be wrong, but from what i read and guessed at it looks like a nightmare. A total rebuild including engine and bunch of paperwork. I am sure you could buy one restored and flying a lot cheaper than fixing this. Marv

This is probably true, but it's all there and complete. Would be much easier then buying a basket case if you wanted one to restore. I must admit that it is almost always cheaper to buy a very nice flying airplane then to restore then one, even if we already own it and have it paid for. However if everyone started looking at it from a sensible financial view there would not be any of these old birds left at all.

Don't scrap'em because they ain't perfect...fix'em, restor'em, and keep'em flyin for as long as we can.....or as long as we're allowed.

Keven from what i have seen and read of your posts , You have the ability to restore one of these properly and you do not need outside help to do it. Most would need a lot of extra help getting things done and signed off, which means a lot of extra expense. You are lucky.

I does help to have done a few of them, lol. I don't recommend restoring for everyone, but certainly need to encourage it to the right people.
