  • Stick boot

My L2-B never had boots on the sticks when I bought it. I'm getting tired of stuff falling down through the holes so I'd like to make some. It would be nice to have a pattern to work from instead doing a lot of guesswork. Does anyone out there have a pattern that I can use or better yet make me a pair?
On another note, I have finally finished rebuilding my landing gear including new bungees, all new bushings and hardware, and new bungee covers. After finally figuring out how to put on the bungee cords, I made a bungee cord installation tool out of my bi-fold hangar door. It went pretty easy after that. I made the bungee covers a little different from the originals so that they cover the entire bungee cords and hopefully keep engine grime off of them.

      Re: Stick boot

Mine had car stick boots, (I think). At least that is what they looked like.

My parts manual calls it a sock assembly - control stick, part # D-A180 on page 117 index #20. From the looks of it I may have found yet another use for a "Crown Royal" bag.

I have the CDs as well. The only thing is that the boot part number is an assembly drawing and lacks the all important dimensions. What I really need is a drawing for part number D-738.
