  • DC-65 Headliner Question

Does anybody know if the DC-65 had some kind of headliner? I have seen several photos of the side and rear panels covered in fabric but nothing showing the overhead.

All of the DC/DCO's I've worked on had fabric headliners. Some had sidewalls installed both metal and wood. I would imagine the DC-65 would have a complete interior and the Military models would be a little more Spartan on the inside.

The tell tale signs of a cloth headliner are sockets for the bows. If there are holes drilled in the tubing, or small tubes welded on at odd angles it probably had a cloth headliner. If you don't find any evidence of bows being used it was likely covered with aircraft fabric.

I think they was fabric only, no cloth originally.
