I'd love to get some advice on where to start when rebuilding wings. I have one wing with both spars broken. The plane was flipped over in a thunderstorm. The broken wing was taken apart and stored along with the "good" wing in a barn. Moisture and mice or maybe moisture from mice, caused quite a bit of corrosion on the bottom chord of the ribs in the "good" wing. The spars in the "good" wing seem fine and it looks like it can be repaired. The other wing is really a problem. i don't know if I have all the parts. Plus the broken spars.
1.Can broken spars be repaired.
2.How far gone is too far gone when you have corrosion on ribs.
3.Should I take the "good" wing apart to use as a template for the broken wing.
4. Are there any good books on wing building I could use as a guide.
5.Can somebody come to Maryland and hold my hand while I attempt to rebuild these wings. I think I need a hug.
