  • Control Yoke Chains

I recently purchased a 1946 Taylorcraft BC12-D project and need a source on the chains and connectors for the chains on the control yokes. I have looked through Aircraft Spruce and Wicks with no luck. Maybe they call them something else, any ideas?
    Thanks Rich

I probably have an extra chain set somewhere. Send me a pm as a reminder and I will take a look

I measured up a friends BC12-D and found the chain is 1/2" x 1/8" x 9-1/2" long on each control yoke with 1/8" cable connected via a cable bushing on each end of the chain using a master link. These are connected to a 1/4" turn buckle located between the control yokes by short lengths of 1/8" cable. The outer 1/8" cables head up and connects to the ailerons. Hope this helps someone with the control chains.

I have come across a few yokes without the intermediate turnbuckle. Lack thereof makes it difficult to equalise the yokes.

Go to a good bycycle shop and get the single speed chain. The pitch is 1/2" with the rollers 5/16" diameter and width 1/8".
