What is the location of the data plate on a BC12D ? Also, is anyone making new instrument panels for this bird? Thanx, Larry

Do a search for both data plate and inst. panel and you will find out all you need to know for both. Larry

      Re: data plata

When I researched my 41 and 45 I found old pictures that showed those years had data plates screwed to the wood floorboards. I never thought of the wood floorboards as exactly "permanent", but I was checking because that was where they were on both planes. Mine were both just inside the pilots door held to the wood with two small screws.
I have also seen them strewed to the hat shelf behind the baggage sling and on the headliner fabric (also not exactly a permanent attachment).

        Hank,
This one has metal foor with no extra holes. Will hunt through the (junk) ply from the bag comp. Thank you, Larry

For a 46 look at the covers for the rudder cables on the side , or the cover below the front of the seat.

Hey Larry (re: 1st post) didn't see this before.. you asked about new instr. panels for a BC-12D. Some years ago Bob Morton had a number of panel blanks formed out of sheet stock for members on this list and he sold me the last one he said.

If you still need one I can send it; just make an offer. I paid $56.00. It's just the basic one piece, has yoke holes but will need cutouts for instruments, glove boxes, etc. but is a good sturdy gage aluminum and should work well. Still in the box.

Sorry I didn't get back to you. I haven't been in here recently either. We will give you your $56 plus shipping. Is that acceptable?
Get back to me at [email protected] or 607 292 6318. Easier to catch me there. Thanx, Larry
