    Re: Inspsection Covers

The round one is a standard vintage vented wing inspection cover. There are several different styles, but it could be an original. I would have to see it close up to be sure.

The rectangular cover could be from anywhere someone decided to put it. If you have two I would say they go above the aileron bellcranks.

They look like the ones on my 41. Agree the rectangular one is over the aileron bellcrqnk. Vented ones were on the belly of mine.

Thanks, 3 Dreaming and Hank. The aileron bellcrank cover are smaller, and I have the
        two.
The vented cover was the only, bur do not remember place.

          Re: Inspsection Covers

If you have ever tried to work on an aileron bellcrank through the original rectangular cover you will understand why a lot of them are larger than Taylorcraft designed them. They must have had mechanics with REALLY DAINTY hands back then!

I have seen a rectangular cover below the horizontal stabilizer before, but not sure about originality. I have also seen one on the bottom of the fuselage just in front of the forward tailwheel spring mount. Again I don't think it was original.
