Shinn Brake Lining source of supply

Hello,

Anyone know of a source of supply for Shinn brake lining material please? Aircraft Spruce and Univair don't have it. Wag Aero is done. There was an earlier post reference to a Brake and Clutch supplier but they appear to be closed.

Also, Skybound appears to not exist anymore.

I have not bought any of this, but it looks correct. You will need 4 feet. It also says they sell rivets and countersinks. Let us know how it turns out.

That's funny. I messaged him earlier to ask how long the roll is and he said 15 feet.

I've found a couple of tractor supply places I haven't called yet. Also found a bunch of industriall suppliers but thier minimum orders are large, some are by the ton. lol.

McMaster Carr has this material. https://www.mcmaster.com/products/br...friction~0-35/

It has a coefficent of friction of 0.35 which seems to be common to some of the tractor brake material info I have seen. They list it as "medium friction", probably wouldn't want "high" on our brakes.
The McMaster stuff is in 15x15" sheet so you would have to cut it. A tile cutter might work in this case.

I ordered from the ebay guy, so we'll see. The McMaster middle size you could get about 5 brakes out of that sheet. The big sheet you could do 30 brakes, but it is a bit expensive.
Otherwise the coffin lid might be closing on Shinn wheels.
