Are you making a firewall or just trying to figure out what goes through which hole? I made a cardboard firewall from my boot cowl and put it on the fuselage with bolts through it at the engine mount holes. The holes match my boot cowl but what is funny is my two Taylorcrafts and a parts boot cowl are all different! I can make a paper template but am not sure which one to use so if it will match your boot cowl. If all you want is to figure out which hole is for what penetration I could take a tracing of YOUR boot cowl and match it to the closest holes in my cowls. The paper or cardboard firewall has been REALLY useful! Amazing how much easier it is to work on the foot well area with the boot cowl not in the way! I also have a full size drawing of the back of the engine so I can see where things will have to go.
One more thing, I am putting firewall penetration disconnects on everything possible like oil pressure, fuel, and primer lines. Sure wish there was a way to do it for that stupid fragile oil temp line!

My project did not have a firewall or boot cowl with it. I figured if I had the firewall pattern I could make a firewall and then fabricate a boot cowl for it. I am not obligated to one or the other. The project will be getting an O320 in it so I will be using a nose bowl off of a super cub. If you would share a pattern with me please em me and would be happy to pay you for your time and postage.
