Could someone post some pictures of the faring that goes between the trailing edge of the wing and the fuse. Does it mount on the fuse or the wing?

Re: Wing trailing edge faring
There were at least two wing wedges (just my name for them). The first photo is of an early (probably pre war) one like on my 41. The second is pretty close to the same top and bottom, but has beefed up sides (these off of my 45).
There are small tabs on the inboard side with nail holes to attach the wedge to the fuselage corner fairing pieces that match the wing TE to the fuselage side contour. The aft edges can move up and down some to align with the wing. On the wing edge there is a strip that lays on top of the root rib in the back to keep everything straight until the wing bands are on
Just make sure the aileron cables are routed properly BEFORE you hook them up in the fuselage! On the early wedges you have to run the cables THROUGH the wedge, while the later ones it can be removed with the cables in place.
Short answer is the wedge doesn't mount to EITHER the wing or fuselage, it just rests between them and between the top and bottom of the wing band. The nail is really just there to keep it from moving around too much, especially while you put the bands on.

Re: Wing trailing edge faring
I'm confused (not unusual for me). I did say they were nailed to the upper longeron wood fairing (not much of an attachment, but it does hold the wedges in place while the bands are put on). With the nail and the tabs the wedge will stay in place to attach the bands. I have about half a dozen wedges and none show anything like a PK screw hole. What fabric do they screw through? Any photos of what you are talking about? If they need a screw I would want to put it in the right place.
