Re: Throttle cable with friction lock control

Hi Tim, I went with the McFarlane throttle and my a&p and I were throwing around some ideas about how to connect it to the carb. How did you do it?

I'm not Tim, but if the cable has a threaded end I think I would use a ball joint attached to the throttle arm with a AN3 bolt, castle nut, and washers as needed for a proper installation.

A small heim joint with a lock nut, and a AN 3 bolt with a AN970-3 washer, a couple of AN960-1032L washers as spacers, cotter pin, castellated nut. The heim joint allows it to be adjusted for a 1/4" of cushion and there is enough stroke for full throttle.
