Anyone have a valid autofuel STC for an F21? Peterson sells them for the 0235 but only the F19 airframe. EAA doesn't carry them for this engine. So, has anyone solved this problem say with a field approval?

Re: Auto Fuel
I too am interested in an auto fuel approval for the F21. After recently talking to "Peterson" about their STC, they can approve the engine (0-235 L2C), but not specifically the F21 airframe. Has anyone gotten a "Field Approval" via 337 for the F21 or F22? If anyone knows of an individual who has dealt with the FAA on this issue, your input will be appreciated! I've not found any papers that it has been done before with either combination, although the F21 has the same fuel system (3 tanks) as the F19.

Re: Auto Fuel
Won't you need to demonstrate that there is nothing in the AIRCRAFT fuel system teat will be impacted by the fuel change? I doubt there is anything, but you will need to SHOW it to get the FAA to accept it.
When you apply for the 337 I would have a complete list of every component the fuel would come into contact with and show that they are ALL used on other planes that are already accepted.

Re: Auto Fuel
How different are the fuel systems for the two models discussed? Are they the same? Do they encounter some material in transit that the approved model does not? If the engines are identical in the two models and one has approval for car gas and one does not why not get the stc and fly it? ( I used high test Amoco in the Stearman but after the introduction of ethanol, I have always used 100 AV.) Not worth the risk to me. Especially in a T craft with a 65 or 85 HP engine. They burn little fuel comparatively speaking. Best JC
