  • C90 & O-200 rods

I'm fairly sure the C90 and O-200 crankshaft is the same (but I'm willing to be corrected).

Are the con-rods the same? The Continental Interchange Manual doesn't refer to the O-200.

I don't know on the rods right off hand, but the cranks are different. A C90 case has to have additional machining for the 0-200 crank to fit. Tom

      C90 and O-200 rods are the same part number. . . . .

        Also-I'm 99.9% sure the Crankshaft is the same for a C90 and O-200. . . .

The replacement part is the same. The original c-90 had a small oil slinger. New cranks the oil slinger is the thrust surface for pushers and is larger.

              C90 cam?

OK you engine Gurus out there, I have a C-90 crank, C-90 rods, 0-200 pistons and C-85 barrels, all going onto a C-85 case.

I also have a C-90 camshaft, any merits in using that instead of the C-85 camshaft?

(as you can tell, I'm an engine numpty).

Rob, I think Eric covered the difference in C85 vs C90 Camshafts earlier in the forum. Dick
