Re: Bonjour
Hello Jacques,
Bienvenue!
You will find help here (soon, I hope), but the Swick Taylorcraft is not as common as the factory-built one of course, but there are several members here who own clip-wings, so any help will be forthcoming.
Have you seen a factory Taylorcraft? (I may be flying mine to your area this summer).
Rob
p.s. Votre anglais écrit est très bon! Il n'est pas surprenant que vous êtes un pilote professionnel!

Re: Bonjour
Jacques,
Also consider the Cole clipped-wing . I think plans are available.
The Irish Taylorcraft is probably airworthy as it is, on a UK LAA Permit to Fly (similar to the Canadian "Owner-maintenance" system). So as a start for a Clip-wing conversion, it may be expensive.
I know that the French DGAC have problems with factory-built aircraft on a Permit / Experimental system.
But there are so many modifications that I would suggest you purchase a fuselage from the USA, and go from there.
There is also a Howard T-Minus in the UK http://www.taylorcraft.org.uk/BRXS.htm. This used to be aerobatic in the USA, but not in the UK. It is built like ... comme on dit en Francais... un commode des briques
All the best,
Rob
I think the closest I have been to your home airfield is Libourne. Or perhaps St Foy la Grande. I suppose I have avoided your area because of the military zones along Aquitaine, but I have flown to Biarritz all in the Taylorcraft, and sometimes with the radio turned on ).
