      Re: The Welch OW-5M

What medicine are you on today? There is a Welch fuselage under the Pietenpol ( Sky Gypsy w/ a Lambert 90 on her) here in Alliance. It is owned by Bob Ollerton and we may fly it this year. Frank Pavliga is going to restore it. We have an A-40 for it. Looks like an Aeronca a wee bit, completely different TC. Bob has the greatest collection of Welch info in the Country do a google you get him .
What did happen to Orin Welch??

edit later by Forrest : OH I SEE! This is a complete new thing on the forumn. I imagine Bob Ollerton would like any more information put on that we do not already have located. see http://www.javalina.com/welch/welch.html for the great work Bob has done so far!

Just found it odd to have its own forum location.

          Forum administrators creative license.

Besides, you made a prop for one of mine.

I love them all, maybe expanding the forum some would get more people in here?

Is the prop flying? I always like to know how they are doing.

                Rose Parrakeets?
There are a few websites for these, one with a whole lot of info, but not real conducive for interaction like this board. Wouldn't want to dilute this forum tho'. Is there some way to put the orphans off to the side?

How about just having an "Orphans forum" as a segment of ours. If one of them takes off, they can spin off to their own forum. I personally like to read about the unusual planes others are messing with. Remember the Cessna and Piper folks think that's US! Let's help the orphans. Costs us nothing and those who don't care don't have to read the posts. We are a great example of how a tribe can work smoothly. More forums like the Taylorcraft group can only be good for flying.

I believe the orphans of the aviation world should stick together. I enjoy anything that flies, they all have their own personality. Just got to get to know them. If Bob wants to invite others to share the tribe space, I say go for it Bob! I was up to Forrest's place the other day and saw the fuselage. Can't wait to see it in the air.

                    How about the Monocoupe 70?

This might be the start of a new group.
I would like to hear from the other owners of the Westfall Sport.
