In several Forums, the Image [I M G] function has been enabled.
The purpose for enabling this feature is to allow this bulletin board to "borrow" a copy of a photo that already exists on another website (either your own website or another website).
To find out if this applies to a particular Forum, see the "Forum Rules" written at the footer of every Forum, it should say "[I M G] code is ON".
When posting your message and you click on the IMG button, you are asked which website to load the photo from, in effect "pointing" the Taylorcraft site where to get the photo from, without actually saving a copy onto the Taylorcraft site, so reducing storage space and bandwidth.
As an example, see this thread . All the photos on there are not actually contained on this Taylorcraft bulletin site, but are downloaded for viewing from the source website (in this case my Tcraft UK site).
But some points to note: please make sure the images:
1. are reasonably small enough (max 70 kb) to see and download;
2. are not naughty images;
3. do not contravene any copyright that is applicable. If in doubt, do not post the photo, rather use a written link (the "http" button) to point the reader to the appropriate website;
You can of course still post photos from your own hard drive as usual as you did before, if you only have the photos on your hard drive, by using the "Attach File" feature near the footer of the "Post Message" or "Post Reply" page.
The moderators and admin of this site will try to keep an eye on the goings on of IMG posting, but if in doubt, please ask us first by clicking on the "Moderator" link on the home page of this Taylorcraft Bulletin Board
Good luck, and happy posting
