thank you Bob, I am still on crutches from Sun-nFun. Have learned how to get on all eqipment. Airport is mowed, folks are stopping in again after terribly wet Spring. I intend to have a lot of stuff out for sale at least a week early. Much to do today 70 acres of corn to finish. two annuals.

Sun is out. WE need a nice Tcraft to display in affordable LSA area at Airventure, more on that soon. back this evening. I will be there whole week need help at table a few hours each day.

We should all think of things we want to do at the gathering this year and not depend on dear old Forrest to entertain us. Rather let him surprise us this time.

I plan to bring some aviation films (yes 16MM!) and my OWN PROJECTOR again, so maybe we can have some beverages and find a place to watch them one of the nights. I got a new Disney film from the 60s thats a hoot and you may recognize it. I have some old cartoons too.

If we are lucky and have food service at the airport, please plan to use them one way or another so its profitable for them to come out and cater to us. We are not a very big group so we all need to spend a few bucks to make it worth their time and effort.

For anyone close, or looking for a longer week the biggest thing that Forrest needs is some help getting the airport ready on Weds and or Thurs. before the fly-in. It was a big help last year. Looking forward to the movies!

I want to bring down stuff from the upper barn area and get rid of the all the stuff . Not all is Taylorcraft, we have Fairchild, Stearman , Aeronca , Interstate, etc.... left over stuff this time goes to the scrap yard.

How about getting the guys who are there to spread the stuff out and post some pictures before you trash it all (that doesn't get sold). If your barn is like mine, the day something goes in the trash is the day before someone needs it.
I wish I could get up there but I am such a pack rat my wife is glad I can't make it. I woulds fill the car with useless junk just because I can't bear to see it trashed.
For myself there are a few goodies I would really like to find.
              1. Pre-war nose side trim strips (ANY of them)
              2. One of the original front of the seat battery boxes (even if only good for a pattern)
              3. A big compass dome (ANY condition!)
              4. ANY pieces from behind the panel for a 41 Deluxe that the instruments mounted to! I have reverse engineered the mount, but would LOVE to see how Taylor did it.
              5. The old cast wheel pant mounts
              6. Wind generator fuselage mount parts
              7. Pre war exterior door handles
              8. Wing strut top and bottom strut fairings
              9. The old Pyrene fire extinguisher and mount
These are off the top of my head. Give me a few minutes (or God forbid photos of a pile of parts spread out) and I will think of hundreds more.

Hey, my wife knew I was a pack rat when she married me!

Oh yea, the correct bits and pieces for a prewar tail wheel steering hook-up. You know, the RIGHT sash chain, spring and connectors to DO IT RIGHT! I have seen so many different ways of hooking it up I have NO idea how it was originally. Anybody got a good picture of the ORIGINAL way it was hooked up?

I sure wish I could make it as well but I'm not able to get off the rock (Kodiak Island) this summer. By the way, I'm still looking for a RH leading edge tip. I was able to bend the wing tip bow back into shape (somewhat anyway).
