  • 1946 BC12D Sn.7512

    Hi,
I'm new to the forum, I'm rebuilding Sn. 7512 which is the only BC12D in New Zealand. Registered ZK-BSW it have been in New Zealand since 1957 and pretty much flown continuously since then. As far as I'm able to tell it has not had a full restoration in that time so it's well over due as it is still covered in cotton.

It was repowered in the 1960's with a C90-12 but apart from that it's pretty well original, I'm looking forward to the rebuild process. Would anyone know what the original N number was for this serial number?

    Thanks

    Shane Glassey

That serial number is no longer listed by the FAA but by extrapolating from other SNs and NC numbers a best guess would be an NC number of 43853. That would make it a 1946 BC12-D from the factory. 43859 and 43836 are the closest planes in the current list. (SNs 7518 and 7495).

Searching the FAA database by serial number shows s/n 7511 is N43852 and s/n 7513 is N 43854. s/n 7512 is no longer in the database.
