  • Strange food prices (really)

So I'm shopping for Cookies and Ice Cream yesterday and I find this really strange price comparison.

I was looking at the midweek standard packaged cookies prices (mid-week high), and some packages were 13 ounces and some were 11 ounces. Price was tagged at $3.89 which made me wince, but: that comes to about $5.66 a pound for the more expensive ones. I know you can buy cheap ones, but it is a gamble. Who knows where that stuff is made. Getting sick from one cookie one time was enough for me

I found some packaged salmon from Canada and it was $5.00 a pound. Needless to say I had fish for dinner; it was good.

That is more than a little strange.

I know! Having fish for dinner would be really strange for me too, especially good fish.

Well, just goes to show you, even x-tech writers can put their sentences in the wrong place.

Actually I had a house full of good healthy food, but no "goodies." I only had a small piece of salmon in the freezer though.

Now question is: Did I miss something? Is fish for dinner a cultural no-no in parts of our fine country?

Desert was chocolate chip cookies broken into vanilla ice cream. Yum.

And no, I didn't have to use a bridle to break in the cookies.

Nothing wrong with the way it was written, I just see things differently. It is the Far Side humor coming out. No problem with fish, it's just I don't eat it often. Also I've never had any really good fish I guess.
