For the Alaska guys I would say a "waddle" "of Penguins".

Seriously, a Band or Party sounds best to me. Fits in with the "Tribe" theme too.

My kids sometimes refer to my plane as a bug smasher. in keeping with that theme, how about "a swarm" of Taylorcrafts?

Not to be picky...yeah I'll be picky; If you are referring to Taylorcrafters and not the Taylorcrafts then perhaps it should refer to characteristics of the people who build, fly, and love Taylorcrafts rather than the airplane itself.

Must be a batch of words out there to describe such an interesting group of people.

I suggest a Retinue of Taylorcrafters. (as in supporting the airplane not a person.)

I was thinking more in that direction. A congregation...an assembly...a congress or, a comradery of Taylorcrafters? Probably can not beat ..."Tribe" huh?

                    Jim,
Years ago (maybe decades) someone here started referring to all of us on the Forum as the "Tribe". Really not sure where it came from, but the name stuck for years. It isn't used as much any more except for the guys who have been here forever.
I always wondered if it was come kind of "poke" at the Aeronca guys with their Chiefs. Their forum really never took off like ours did.

I think tribe fits, we are a motley crew after all. As for aircraft, gaggle gets my vote. L

It came about because this is the locus of all "Tribal Knowledge."

With all the history of Comanche Indian raids at Fort Parker and having all those Cowboys with Guns at Fort Parker this past weekend... I am not sure "Tribe" is really the best name.
