Some had a photo of it at our local airfield last week. When landing in fields we usually make sure that: -
a) If there are animals in the field, they are sheep. Sheep know about planes and have enough sense to get out the way. They trample the ground nicely and keep the grass short and don't leave big cow pats lying around.
b) Always park with your tail to the hedge/fence so that people passing by don't think you have just crashed.
c) Avoid fields with cows, they not only eat your plane but might just be bulls (can't tell from 1000 ft).
d) Try to pick a field with a pub (English drinking establishment that sells real ale) next door, especially if you are force landing, whisky is a good way of calming the nerves (Rob's is a pint or two).TF#405
