  • T-6 (Harvard) experts

Very off-topic, I know, but some friends of mine in England are seeking parts for the wing joint of the T6.

These joints are the forged (or cast?) L-section pieces that join the wing centre-section to each outer wing panel (along the wing-skin line top-and-bottom, with a zillion bolts), and are apparently hard to come by.

In the image below, these joints are covered by the chord-wise fairings about 3 feet away from the fuselage where the l/e crank is.

Can anyone recommend an expert in the US?

Don't know if your friends have contacted Lance Aircraft Supply in Dallas....they have probably the largest collection of AT-6 parts in existence. I've been purchasing parts for the AT-6 and Harvard I maintain from them... www.lanceaircraftsupply.com.

For experts in AT-6 maintenance and restoration my choice is Ezell Aviation in Breckenridge, Tx. The AT-6 I maintain was restored by them several years ago. Nelson Ezell and his crew are real craftsmen, very helpful if you call for information, and his crew can make almost any unobtainable part.

Don't have the attach angles, but do have a set of main gear legs and uplock cylinder and linkage I'd love to part with.......
