I don't think this has been posted before; I did do a search.

    Amazing.
Can't pay me enough to climb that tower.

Wow! There is not enough money in heaven or earth to get me to do that! I may be wrong but it looks like he was not even clipped in for a good portion of the video. That guy has nerves of steel.

Verona, Italy circa 1962. Climbed a triangular tower 125 ft to top to install a new antenna. Free climb to the top and then safety belt through the tower structure to do work. No safety belt all the way up. US Army, 19 years old. Scared me more than anything I have ever done in my entire life.

The last part of this video gave me week knees. Man, that brough back a vivid memory. Wow.

I kown it sounds like I may be braggin a bit but yeah I spent a summer workin on radio and tv towers, name of the company was Delta RF.
The 1st tower I had to climb was 800', they hooked up a 1/8" cable to my safety belt gave me a small snatch block and 2, 1/2" shackles with a small choker and said "when you get to the top, etc". That was the hardest climb I have ever done.
I have too admit, in 3 weeks I had a six pack washboard stomach, but I was only making $7.50 an hour
