  • so what have we learned

So, what have we learned in 2,064 years?...

"The budget should be balanced; the Treasury should be refilled, public

debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered

and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed

lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of

    living on public assistance..."

I wish I knew how to post a video I just received. This woman is extremmely happy touting Obama as he speaks. Toward the end when he talks about creating jobs so that peeople can work she starts to freak out and then starts wondering how to dump him.

Maybe we should keep political criticism off this site, lest we open a pandorra's box of opinions/

Re: so what have we learned

This area of the site was created to keep all the political and questionable stuff off the rest of the site. When I see something here that upsets me I just go on to the next post. I would rather read it here and laugh, cry, get angry or let out a loud YES! than have the non-Taylorcraft comments all over the site.
I say keep the political comments here and just skip the ones you don't agree with.
        Hank

By the way, when I read one I REALLY don't like, I make a POINT of not reading who posted it. You guys are all friends and having different views on some non-Taylorcraft topic shouldn't change that. I have some pretty "out there" views too. We all do.

Sorry to change the direction of the thread, but speaking of "really out there", and having just read the previous post from someone in the space business...

This is an absolutely fascinating one-hour plus video of John Lear, whose father Bill Lear came up with the LearJet. John Lear (purportedly) has an exceptionally colorful history flying in all corners of the world under some suspicious circumstances.

John Lear has apparently become one of the big celebrities of the UFO/9-11 Conspiracy/MJ-12/Alien community. Here's a guy who was apparently at one time a well-respected airline and air transport pilot with government connections, and now he's talking about ET aliens secretly working with the government to control our minds.

IMHO either this guy is completely off his rocker, or he is an intentional humorous side-show distraction to discredit something and/or keep the public guessing in the wrong direction on purpose.

He is what he is. He also spoke at a QB meeting out West and showed very believable items of proof of his thoughts. Remember our minds are only used to about 15% of what is possilble. I have expounded on the experience I had when I "died" from drowning back when I was five years old. YES , I know it is what I "remember" & truly "believe" from that experience'.
Our Foundation membership includes a few spooks and a lot is true. At the high level here in the U.S. are close knit leaders who are entrusted with our security of this World. I speak to many groups and do believe that we need to understand that soon this little planet needs to understand that we are all "Earthlings". Air America ; Ortner Airlines; Howard Hughes; are three of many that come to mind of things from the past. I will listen to John on U-Tube later , he did do a lot of things in Aviation.... What is true , I do not know!

Re: so what have we learned

Well since nobody asked for my personal opinion...

On an intellectual level I think it would be very very arrogant of us humans to think that of all the stars and all the planets in the night sky, we're the only living intelligent beings.

I find it quite easy to believe that there is some other higher intelligence out there somewhere, and that they may have visited here before, and that we silly humans turned the story of their visit into holy books and scriptures and deities and gods and devils.

I personally WANT to think that there is something out there that has the answers and will enlighten our souls when our bodies are dead.

But I also am a prize winning gold seal BS artist when I want to be, which enables me to sniff out that trait in others. I know that one of the best BS techniques our beloved government has is the ability to put on a show in order to focus public opinion in a direction that doesn't interfere with things they are trying to accomplish quietly.

So it is easy for me to imagine someone in the halls opf power telling a former "operative" of one type or another to simply put on a huge ridiculous show, complete with UFO's and secret alien meetings and Elvis and the Tri-Lateral Commission, to cover for something else that is less exotic but needs to remain under a rock for some reason.

So Forrest, what do the spooks in the group say about that behind closed doors ???

Re: so what have we learned

If it's truly behind closed doors, the spooks won't be talking about it. If they talked to Forrest, it was probably one of the shows to divert attention.
                  Hank

I have held some pretty high security clearances and I can tell you, they DON'T talk about what they know. Everything I ever saw is open knowledge now.

Re: so what have we learned

So here is a thought. If the universe started from a big bang, where did the original matter come from? Was there just a big ball of stuff that suddenly just exploded. Scientist postulate that 98% of the matter in the universe was created in the first 2 minutes after the explosion, the other 2% has been created by chemical reaction since.

Re: so what have we learned

Wow Tom, jump right to the BIG questions. hope you don't mind that we (everyone) don't have the answers.
A few quick things the physics guys DO know (I'm an engineer, not a physicist).
                        1) There was no "BANG" in the big bang, think WHOOSH!
                        2) There was no "stuff" to explode. It was a "singularity" which is a Physics name for miracle (the physics guys I work with are going to smack me for that one).
                        3) It was way more than 98% and WAY LESS than 2 minutes.
                        4) Chemistry doesn't make matter, it just recombines it in new ways.

Before you feel I'm trashing you, look at it this way. You just went through about 4,000 years of science in one post. Pretty impressive if you ask me. You are in great company. You are asking the questions the top scientists in the world are asking, and I never really understand their answers.
