2009 Bonneville Speed Week

Thought some of you might be interested in seeing a vehicle at the 2009 Bonneville Speed Week. It's made out of an F-105 Thunderchief drop tank and parts of a '54 Oldsmobile, in fact it is still registered as a three door Oldsmobile!!


The racer is fully street legal, but it overheats after about 50 miles.

It looks the part, eh?

I guess the registration as a street legal car explains the presence of headlights and rearview mirrors on a Bonneville machine.

I like it Rob! Just last night, we watched "The World's Fastest Indian" (for the forth time, great movie) on the "outdoor" theater at the MAAC fly-in at Brodhead airport. That one would have fit right into that film also.
