The following is the 2007 winning entry from an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.

    This year's term: "Political Correctness."

"Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

      Re: political correctness

I have had several places where what I said got me thrown out. Every time I considered it an honor!

By the way, there IS a way to grab the "clean end". We chrome plated a turd to prove it could be done. Best danged plating shop I ever saw! Wish I could have kept it. Perfect for things like County Central committee meetings! If anyone is interested, I'll tell how we did it.

It was from a dog, but in reality it was actually a pile not an individual "piece". If you want to try it you really might want access to a plating tank that is ready to be pumped out and cleaned for rework. Funny no one wants to use the tank after the "project".
