Perhaps not as steep nor via a Pilatus, but Greg Clayton (the skylight guy) has/had a cabin on the east shore of the lake linked below. He flew (may still) his Taylorcraft to and from a strip perpendicular to the shore up the hill visible mid-lake on the right. I was there one day on floats dropping off some Rainbow Trout and he came scooting down the hill on tires, rolled for some distance across the water's surface and took off. He did a circle or two then came back in from the west, scooted across the lake, and taxied back up the hill to a 90 deg turnaround near his camp. He had a NO2 booster bottle but not sure if it was used at that time.
