  • Minimum equipment list

I got a kick out of this:

(If you want to fly with me, you will have one useable knife at the very least...a Leatherman plus a sharp pocketknife that you are handy with would be even better. You can count on me to have a gun, but if you also want to carry one, so much the better). I know it's only a 2 place plane, but we may need these tools when we get where we're going.

Thanks for that Dick, it brought a smile to my face after a Christmas day 150 miles away with my siblings and our old 'uns (I don't do family very well, esp. at Christmas, but they do have nice kids, even though they are adults now too).

I have to be careful about my words, because I'm rapidly catching the old 'uns up!

It's approaching 11pm on Christmas day here in the UK. I'm looking forward to a day of legalised hooliganism tomorrow, Boxing Day, where we have a day of flour-bombing and spot-landing at my resident airfield, but I fear the weather will not co-operate.

May I wish you and the Alaska Tribe (and indeed the whole of the Taylorcraft fraternity) a merry Christmas and all best wishes for 2016.

I was unaware Boxing Day was in reality a day to fly, bomb stuff and have fun. Wish we had one over here, lol.
      Cheers,

Ahhh flour bombing! I miss it so.
We have heard that shortly after 9/11 someone gave a panicked call to the local 911 folks that some terrorists were buzzing around the local airport trying to dump white powdered anthrax into the local water supply from little airplanes.
And now we find that EAA insurance explicitly excludes flour bombing.

        but once long ago...
