Does anyone know what a MA-3A carburetor goes on? Will it work on a C90? The tag on it has a part number 102983. The mounting flange looks like it would fit any of the small Continentals. But I don't know what size the venturi or jet is. What is a carb like this worth. It has been sitting for many years and would need to be opened up and checked before putting on an engine.

Re: MA-3A Carburetor
I am pretty sure it is for a Lycoming O-235Terry Bowden, formerly TF # 351

Re: MA-3A Carburetor
Hummmm....., that is interesting. This carb came with a project I bought that was supposed to have an A65 engine. I didn't think it fit an A65, but was hoping it would fit a C90 or O200. Thanks for the info Terry.Richard Pearson

Re: MA-3A Carburetor
Well that backs up what Terry said, Lycoming O235. I don't need a Lycoming carburetor, so now the question becomes; what is this thing worth? OR, is it possible to convert this carb to a MA-3SPA.Richard Pearson

Re: MA-3A Carburetor
I should have read Dick Smith's comment before I replied. I've only found a couple of places where it mentioned that carb number, but it didn't mention which version of the O-235 it went on.1940 BC-65 that needs minor work...

Re: MA-3A Carburetor
I don't think it's super rare. It's for the 100hp O-235, which you don't often see because most have been upgraded. The best thing to do is call Marvel 855-672-2272. They could tell you if this carb could be upgraded for use on a higher hp O-235, if that's what you have. If your engine is an O-235C, then you're in great shape since that's what it was originally deigned for.1940 BC-65 that needs minor work...
