Old Taylorcraft ID Badges

Just wanted to share my latest find. It was purported to be a war-time Taylorcraft ID badge. It is made a lot more cheaply than the metal one above it. I am still waiting for information from the seller. Maybe when Forrest returns to the Forum he can shed some light on the history. It came from the Canton, OH area.

Was these require on private airplanes during WWII ? Any history about them would be nice to know.

I'm pretty sure they were required on the factory workers, not the planes. ;-)

Hank is correct, they are factory worker ID badges.

I"M BACK!! yes those are workers badges ; top one is the early one lower is the later one 1946 probably . Willam Baker is old time Aviator ; pattern maker and I have his log books.... I have a request for bubble face glass or ?? ; somebody is making them? Let me know.

I just picked up another, I am assuming war-time, employee I.D. badge.
