Does anyone have a source for the keyed washers required on the axles? I have found that Snyder's Antique Auto Parts, Inc. has the washer that have the correct ID, but the OD is considerbly larger. Requiring modification to be used. Thanks Rex

      Dave,

I think that was Josh Brehm, who is no longer with us.

Maybe Hank Jarrett knows of what happened to them.
      Cheers,

        Re: Keyed Washer

I bought some last year from the following source.

        Shinn Wheel & Brake parts
        SkyBound, Atlanta Georgia
Shinn Wheels, brakes, cables, backing plates.
        Jim Greene (owner) 770-446-6797

Here is a link to the Taylorcraft Foundation parts source list, lots of good information there.

Josh was the one who made them in the Tribe. There are still a few floating around, he made LOTS of them. We lost a great member with Josh.

I believe I got two sets from Josh and would be willing to part with one set. If you want the extra set send me a PM.

Check with Laura she might still have some. I received two from her a few weeks ago. Just send her an email.

I am pretty sure that Univair has them under part # UA-500 for $7.62

At Univair, we’re experts at salvaging and rehabilitating classic planes with our vintage aircraft parts for sale. You can buy classic aircraft parts here!

Unless Univair has fixed their catalog, the parts they supply are incorrect. i bought some and then bought some from Josh.
