  • Rob Lees at the Diamond Jubilee?

    Hey Rob,

I didn't see you with sir Paul or Elton. Were you there?

I don't do Sir Paul "Liverpooool" McCartney, but I have a lot of time for Elton John's music.

However, I wasn't at the concert at all. I did enjoy the view from the bomb-aimer's position in the Lancaster.

Was that the back of your head we saw in the video then? L

        Rob,

Thanks for not pushing any hooded buttons or switches during the flyover.

Speaking of embarrasing moments, Have YOU ever left your kid in a pub?

Quite an embarrassing confession by our PM, I reckon! And no, I haven't done the same!

            That was cool!

My daughter is over there and won first place at the Jubilee costume contest in Bristol on the downs. She was very excited!

Costume? What was she dressed as...not a teabag, I hope! [/Boston tea party]

Bristol is my home stomping grounds...Brissle is its proper name. The "Matthew" that took part in the Jubilee Thames pageant was of course a replica of the original that sailed to America from Bristol in 1497 under the Captaincy of John Cabot.

It must be 8 or 10 years since that same replica crossed the Atlantic also?
