  • Oshkosh-Taylorcraft

    Hi,
    New to the group....

    I just:
purchased a 1946 BC12D (N95359). Hope to have it home in June.
    joined the Foundation
    joined the EAA
    joined the VAA
started working on my TW endorsement

I'm going to Oshkosh this July (driving). Will there be anything Taylorcraft related activities there? I'll be attending various Continental and fabric workshops. I see on the Foundation website there will be representation at Oshkosh.

Looking forward to working with you all.

Dan, Welcome to the group, and congratulations on your new airplane. We like pictures here. So play around with the website and let us know if you need help uploading any pictures. Also, take just a few minutes and explore the "search" function. It is really valuable for learning from previously asked questions. Welcome!!!

Dan glad you are on the Forum and will be enjoying a Taylorcraft, as you Joined the Vintage Aircraft Association, you might look into who will be representing Taylorcraft at the Vintage tent during the annual Air Ventuire ,I look forward to seeing the vintage aircraft type clubs there with there displays, i know there is some representation, to some extent for Taylorcraft, but maybe with more interest we could have a table there, with more info, just a thought

Welcome Dan. Make sure you stop in at the "Red Barn" and buy tickets to the VAA dinner for Wednesday evening. Hope you can attend it. Mr. Lees has a Taylorcraft table marker available, so we should be easy to find. Thursday afternoon @ 1:00 PM is the "Care for Your Taylorcraft" session in Forum tent #3.

Hello Dan, and welcome to the Taylorcraft tribe!

As Mike mentions, we will have a table at the VAA dinner on the Wednesday evening of Oshkosh. Never a huge Taylorcraft participation, but quality always betters quantity!

We usually seat ourselves towards the open side of the dinner venue (Nature Centre) (the attached photo should give you the general idea...at the far end are the serving tables. All will be clearer when you see it.)

If all else fails, look for the table with the prettiest women and the ugliest men....then you will have found us! We will have the Taylorcraft table marker as well (was it there last year, Mike?).

We look forward to meeting you.

Thank you for the welcome and the invite,
Due to some Wednesday AM work comittments, I won't be arriving until 7:00pm or so. Probably too late for dinner, but I will attend the Thursday T'craft session. I'm staying in a dorm room in Ripon and plan to be at Oshkosh through Sunday. I've offered to help out at the Barn/Flight Line and am looking forward to seeing vintage planes and owners!
