Check both carefully for corrosion and wear in the oil pump cavities. The Magnesium ones are obviously a lot more prone to corrosion if neglected, but they are lighter. I have had some folks say they would be afraid of an engine compartment fire with Magnesium, but I figure if the fire is hot enough to light off a solid chunk of it (big chunks of Magnesium are NOT easy to light off with low temp flames, but a scraping or shaving is easy), I would already be long dead.
