Im new to the Taylorcraft forums and just wanted to say hello. I don't have to much background with planes but my dad does. He has a 1946 BC12 D TC and is in the process of restoring it. This is his first project plane, well first plane period. I'm going to get my LSA and once the plane is done we're going to fly her. I know some of you regulars on here know him and have heard his story. This project means a lot to both him and I. So I'm on here ready an willing to receive any and all advice and to gain some more knowledge on these amazing birds!

Re: New here
The old timers here have heard me say is many times, but start a thread on your restoration (use the N number and SN with your names) and POST LOTS OF PICTURES! You will get comments and help from all over. Lots of us scour those pictures for details and you will be amazed at how often someone here will spot a crack in a weld or a missing cotter pin you missed. We all get a lot of pleasure out of sharing your journey from pile of parts to flying plane. For you, you get a record of your project and a better, safer more accurate restoration.
