The Stahl designs are great and usually fly really well. There IS that minor problem of OOS (Out of Sight) flights and a dethermalizer is a good idea. I saw a really good one that used a little wind up toy motor with a wire that tripped a release that dropped a weight that was tied to one wing. The weight pulled the plane into a tight circle to bring it down and as soon as the threaded weight touched the ground the plane straightened out and landed. NEAT little system and kept the tail light. I think the weight was just what was needed to balance the model in roll and when it released it swung under the other wing.
I am going to try it on my next FF model.

Thanks for the help. I should have a picture here pretty quick. It is 32" wing span, and what you see here weighs in at 35.5 grams. I have just made the struts, and will fit them soon. The wings are held on by supermagnets. I am hoping they will be strong enough to hold! I'll know soon enough.
I have to attach the landing gear, plank in the nose, and make up the nose block, and carve a propeller. It will most likely be 50-60 grams when done.
With all that big wing, should not be a problem. I think it will fly very well.
