I'm looking for a windshield cover for my L2. Does anyone know a cover maker who may have a pattern for one?

Re: L2 windshield cover
Hi Bob... My wife has a custom sewing and embroidery business. We have talked about making aircraft covers in the past. The key to a good cover is the type of material. We have seen some that would work well to shed water yet still breathe and not tend to scratch plexiglass. If you make a paper pattern and mark where you want velcro, zippers, or grommets we can do this probably as reasonably as anyone. We don't have a local L-2 to measure.Terry Bowden, formerly TF # 351

Re: L2 windshield cover
Terry,
Is the covering material you are looking to provide lighter than the Bruce Custom Covers? With the "limited" storage space in the L2, we need something that can be compactly folded. Bruce's covers will cover the entire plexiglass area.
thanks,
Billy

Re: L2 windshield cover
I am not familiar with Bruce's fabric. Send some rough dimensions and we can estimate weight. Costwise I think we can come in a lot lower than Bruce.Last edited by barnstmr; 01-05-2012, 09:22.Terry Bowden, formerly TF # 351
