  • NW Fly-in

    Attention NW aviators-

Plans are forming for the next Fly-in at Karl Majerle's farm strip here in Duvall, WA (WA17) So far Sept. 25-26th are the proposed dates. We'll feed everyone so don't worry about that. Camping is available, bring your fishing pole. Other activities will be decided depending on how many show up. This is an open invite to anyone comfortable with a 1000' grass strip. Any aircraft is welcome.

To everyone that may be interested:

I had a wonderful time at Jason and Carls last fly-in event. They have a great location and they really know how to have a good time - good food, interesting aircraft and good stories. If the weather holds up, I will be sure to be there again!

Nice pic, Jason, unfortunately I shall have to decline your kind invitation...I am elsewise disposed, and the flight time would be slightly too long for my fuel tanks.

Looks a nice place, though, clear approaches, flat. Hope you all have a good time.

I'm only 25 miles east of Seattle. If you look at the other pics in the photo album there is a wide-angle shot of the valley. I have landed in quite a few of the local hay fields, the Cascade Mountain range is only about 15 miles east with lots of beautiful mountain flying, the Pacific Ocean is about a 2 hr flight to the west, and we have the San Juan Islands only 70 miles to the north. We are truly blessed here in the NW.

          GOD's Country

Rub it in, Jason, rub it in. I used to live in Springdale Wa., about 50 miles NNW of Spokane. Bought the top of a mountain, and built a 2,000 Sq/Ft house with a 900 foot downhill runway that flew off a cliff. So where do I live now? In the middle of the biggest sandbox in the country. fly-in

Jason sent me an email a few weeks ago and said he had to cancel the fly-in for this weekend (25th-26th). I think it is still canceled unless someone heard different.

I hope the weather stays good and we can still have the event in the next few weeks.

Don't be so hard on yourself old Girl. Doesn't rain all the time where you are and with the exception of the weeds on your runway you can just about poop anywhere you please.

                        NW Fly-In

                        Jason, Allen, et al.

Are we going to be able to squeeze in another fly-in at your friend's place before winter. Once I finish up working this week I am off for six weeks. I need to fly my Taylorcraft!!!

If nothing else maybe we can meet at Elma for breakfast sometime.

                          Hi Mark,

I am up for flying anytime! I can't do an overnight trip because we finally sold our house. I am very busy packing and moving until the end of next month. We bought a house in Felida, WA; we are now neighbors! (Sort of).

This weekend looks good; maybe a trip to the Flying-M Ranch? Or anything else that sounds good.

                              Fly-In

Sunday would be good for me! Flying M is only a 15 minute flight from where I am living, but it is a great place to start. It would be long way for Jason to come down to though. If you are up for it Jason, Allen and I would be happy to show you our part of the country. Pacific City is also fun. Maybe we could meet for lunch at Flying M and then go to Pacific City. Anyone else?? The more the merrier!!!
