  • Replacing the bottoms on EDO 1320's

Anyone have any input on replacing the bottom skins on a set of edo 1320's? I found a set with T-craft rigging and the price is right, I would like to know just how big of a project it would be, time and $$ wise. Or if i should keep looking for a pair that are in better condition.

Its a really big project, that guy in Canada is a good source of parts, he is near you. (forgot is name) Kenmore can also supply parts but is on the Pacific Coast. With floats, rivets are done by the hour, and the zinc putty is messy too. Tim

I know, after replacing the Keels on my floats, that the sections ahead of the step is in 2 pieces and overlaped at the keel.the section right at the step forward to the next bukhead is one piece.I supose to aid in replacement because that is the most likely the one to get hit.I know that when they were assembled, the keels would be rivited first then the outside edges.you can amagine trying to buck rivits from the insection hole but it Can be done!If the bulkheads are not corroded, the reskinning wont be that hard, but incredibly time consuming.(about a thousand klicos should do it).

I would be enterested in finding new skins for the step area let us know what you find. If you redo your bottoms thats a great time to put in float hatches and it makes the step area alot easyer to do.
just remember you haft to get them approved.

Ed Peck...of Bear River, Nova Scotia Canada is the guy that has new bottoms, it's a heck of a job replacing them, I've done EDO 2000's and 1320's and a number of others, but can be done, just a lot of time.

I've got a set of 1320's with T-craft rigging that aren't in use. Where are you located?
