Re: Prints
The drawing will be in the morning mail.
Keep in touch. We need to build a guide for rebuilding wings for the tribe. Two sites rebuilding and 6 wings should give a good start. We can tap the group to do the peer review and correct our mistakes as we go. Take LOTS of photos as you go!

Re: Prints
You are right where I am on my 41. VERY old fabric that still is sound. I am more worried about what is going on UNDER the fabric. Of course that is the "T" section stick rib wings with 13 ribs. The first ones we will be doing will be the 15 stamped rib wings like you have. It will be a while before we start, but I want to fully document the process since these wings will need to be totally torn down and the spars replaced. I want to document exactly which ribs go where and how to repair them. I have a LOT of bent up ribs. Luckily I also have a couple of torn up wings to use as a guide.

Re: Prints
Hank,
I would love a copy. So far I am relying on the wing drawing in STC SA1-210. But I would love a real drawing.
I am rebuilding sn 7700 with new aircraft spruce spars, and I am doing the left wing first so that the right wing on the stand will let me ask "Now where did this D4m7 thing go???"
As each rib came off, I stamped it number on it so that I remember where they go. I have lots of pictures and will be glad to contribute what I can,
If you are in the copy business for the 15-rib wing's drawing,
327 Ridgecrest Ave
Los Alamos, NM 87544.
And include how much for copying costs and your favourite case of beer.
Thanks,

Re: Prints
Skip,
Timing is perfect, I have one extra copy of the 15 rib wing drawing (asked for an extra, wasn't sure why). It will go out tomorrow morning with the others. The copy and postage comes to $5.00. You are in the perfect place for my favorite beer. I like Negro Modello! We need to get together next time I am in New Mexico. How far from El Paso is Los Alamos? Maybe we can coordinate with Brie. She is just east in Texas (good beer there too. Can't say I like Lone Star much, but some of the dark beers are great!)

Los Alamos is north-central New Mexico. Up in the mountains away from the worst of the southern heat. We are north of Albuquerque and west of Santa Fe. So it is all the way across the state to the north from El Paso. About 7 hours by car and about 3-1/2 or 4 hours by Tcraft.
LAM is at 7200 MSL and I always love it when some controller in Iowa tells me "Density altitude 4300 feet! Watch out! can you handle this extreme altitude? Think Twice!!! Danger! Danger!"
As for beers, Negro Modello is good, but there are some local micro-brews that are also quite good. Santa Fe Pale Ale is very drinkable and Il Vicino's India pale ale is also an award winner. The ones to watch for are that a number of the local micro-breweries make a green-chili beer where wonderful New Mexico green chili replaces some of the hops. All I can figure is that they want to give something to the Texans to brag about when they get back home from vacation.
I wonder how many Tcrafts we could round up for a flyin in New Mexico/West=Texas/Arizona?

Re: Prints
Going to Los Alamos for a fly in would be great. The 3.5 to4 hrs from El Paso wouldn't be as much of a problem as the 2 weeks from the Chesapeake Bay to New Mexico. Might just have to use the commercial airlines for that one.
I have to check out the green chili beer next time I am in El Paso. I love spicy food.
