Mine came off last Wednesday. Always a sad day. The 26" Airstreaks take the sting off a little though!

Dick, is that seat what I think it is? Could we have a picture of it? That is a really good looking setup I see in the overhead shot. Seat belt anchors and skylight and fit and finish.

Dick, I love the pipe insulation on the skylight tubes! Why didn't I think of that. My poor brain can't afford much more trauma from those tubes.

Dick.. I hate to take my floats off also, but it's time, lake has ice on it . Here's a couple of pictures of hunting season, which is over now, it took me three trips to get this Moose out.

Float season is over on this side of the Alaska range as well. Even have some snow on the ground.

Floats off, big tires on. Can't wait for freeze up and ske's.

Yep...I landed mine on the grass yesterday and put it in the hangar for the winter....no point in taking the floats off since I have another plane to fly I put it away one day too early though....it's beautiful out today...I'll post pics later....forgot the camera in the hangar.

Darryl, you asked for a few seat pix....
Removing the right seat allows you to
keep the weight right where it belongs,
as demonstrated in wlas's pix of the
moosemeat load. I consider it a
                    safety factor. Dick

Nice job, Dano! Always loved the looks we got, putting float planes in and out of grass strips, or alongside of pavement, on the grass!

Dick, it's about over here too.... 17 degrees this morning, 10 head of elk about 100 yards out the kitchen window grazing, and all the Larch trees a bright yellow. I sure love this time of year!!

                              Dennis, Re: seat question...http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...ucketseats.php

Dano, thanks for the pix...I know it can be done...nice to see it demonstrated. The Baumanns look sweet with the flat tops.

John...About 2 minutes ago a little bull moose with antler knobs not much bigger than golf balls walked past the window...he stuck out his nose and sniffed the window...about 3 feet away. He's a fiesty little beggar...will be a handful during the deep snow. Wish I was there to harass the elk during hunting season...the 2 things that I gave up coming to Alaska was readily-accessible elk hunting and pheasant hunting out my backdoor...it's been a fair exchange, but the elk and pheasant memories are priceless.
