Re: Taylorcraft Trinket I Picked Up On Ebay

    Hank,

Unfortunately my copies are laminated and currently mounted to the walls of my hangar, so those are not available. I am not sure if they would even copy as well now that they are laminated.

Worst case, I will pay to have another set made and then send them to whomever can copy them the cheapest for the rest of the guys who want them.
    Cheers,
    Marty

Re: Taylorcraft Trinket I Picked Up On Ebay

Ok, guys & gals. Great news.

Apparently this poster is just a hair over-sized and that is why it cost me so much to have it duplicated to exact size. If it had been at or less than 14"x22" the cost would have lowered dramatically. The original length was less than 22" and the height was about 15". I wish they had told me this to start with as there was a good-sized white border around the main part of the print I could have eliminated. To make it easy I will have the print fit to the size of the cheaper copy price.

The gal told me the initial copy would be $5.00 each side. So $10.00 for separate front and back copies, like everyone has wanted so far. (It will be cheaper though, see below).

If you want back-to-back copy it is $7.50.

She told me the price would lessen with each additional copy so it will be less than $10.00 for two complete copies, one front and one back. I want to spread the cost as evenly as possible to be fair so once I have a firm order on quantity I will take the original in and get all the copies done at once. I will then divide the cost by the number of copies so it will be less than $10.00 for everyone if they want one front and one back copy. If someone comes in late to the order it will be $10.00, or less if more orders come in.

Shipping will be done in a mailing tube via USPS. I don't know how much the tubes will cost, but it will be whatever the actual cost is. Actual shipping costs will be different for everyone so once it is shipped I will let you know you individual cost.

Please be sure you want a set of these as the initial cost will be out of my pocket until I get reimbursed. I don't want to fight anyone for their payment. A lot of time will also be involved in making this happen so please be patient.

You can express your interest on this thread, or PM me if you feel better about doing it that way. Please provide a name and address so I can keep a list.
      Cheers,
      Marty

Re: Taylorcraft Trinket I Picked Up On Ebay

That sounds a LOT closer to what I was making them for. I never thought of them bumping you to the next size higher paper! I will confirm I want a set right now, but if you get bombarded like I did a while back you can end up with a real nightmare keeping track of all the people who want different things with their addresses and when they have paid.
        Little lessons I learned;
1 Use a spread sheet to keep track of orders, payment, addresses and shipped date
2 Round up to the nearest dollar
(I never lost a dime from cash folded in paper in an envelope. No one will risk a federal postal conviction for $10)
3 Use an email address for ordering, you WILL overload your account on the group, several times!

        Hank

Oh yea, LOTS of guys will REPEATEDLY forget to send you their address (they are usually the ones who also send checks, which also have the addresses on them).

Re: Taylorcraft Trinket I Picked Up On Ebay

Good point, Hank. All of it I had already planned on, however, I will provide an e-mail adress for those who want the prints.

Use following e-mail for orders only: [email protected]

I do not want money up front as I it will be difficult to work out cost and shipping. I am not doing this for a profit, just to help my fellow T-Craft friends. No address equals no print, unless I have the time to ask you again. Thanks for your consideration.
          Cheers,
          Marty

Sounds good, notice I forgot my address too. ;-) You may get that a lot. I'll send it to the address you provided. If this works for you like my drawings did, for every person who commits to take one and doesn't carry through, someone will jump on at the end and take it. I had to make at least two trips for copies on each drawing.
            Hank

It's good you aren't looking for profit. You probably won't make any, but you sure get to interface with a bunch of great people.

              Marty,
Got the posters this afternoon. They came out GREAT! I'm glad I got two individual sheets instead of both sides on one sheet. These are getting framed to hang on the wall behind my plane in the hangar.
              Thanks for doing this.

Glad to help, guys. They did turn out nice.

                  Hank,

You were right, I probably won't do this again. Still several unpaid and I don't know if some even got them, yet. I sent them media mail, which slowed up delivery a bit, but I was working toward keeping costs down.
                  Cheers,
                  Marty

Re: Taylorcraft Trinket I Picked Up On Ebay

Since I just got mine this afternoon I would bet you will get a rush of confirmations now. One thing I found out about the Tribe is you will never get cheated. We FORGET all the time, but it is creeping senility, not dishonesty. A lot of times someone will say they want something, then forget and never actually confirm. Can't tell you how many people repeatedly said they didn't get a drawing and never read the messages saying I didn't have their address yet! Never was sure if I lost the address or they forgot to send it. Probably some of both. You will also find that others will ask for the ones that aren't ever paid for or you never get an address.

I have complete confidence in the guys here, or I wouldn't have done it. Thanks for the shipping update, that helps.

                                Hey guys,

Due to the fact I am still owed money from the first batch, if I did this again it would have to be pre-paid. Also, I sent these media mail which can take longer than normal. You would have to tell me how you want it shipped, (via USPS), and if you want it insured. If it is not insured and it disappears it is on you, not me. The original batch with shipping tube and media mail shipping costs were about $14.00. Insurance would cost a little more, as well as other forms of shipping, first class, priority, etc. Let me know.
                                Cheers,
                                Marty
