Taylorcraft Trinket I Picked Up On Ebay

As many of you know I like to collect Taylorcraft trinkets that catch my eye. I have never seen anything like this. I don't know the age, but I am thinking it would be fairly old. It has a small raised button that allow it to spin so it can pick out the next person who will pay for the next round. Let me know if you have any idea of the age. The fine print says B&B, St. Paul, MN USA.

I picked out the lettering with red paint to make it easier to read.

That was very popular here in Alliance at the Owl Grille, Silver Bullet and the Alliance Restaurant ; indeed it was used to point the next buyer and opened the bottles too . I still have one in the office.

Here are a couple more Taylorcraft related items I recently picked up. The lube chart is unlike any I have ever seen before. I had it reproduced and laminated for my hangar. One side has the BC-12 info and on the back it shares L-2 information, too.

Marty, are those last two pics two sides of the lube chart? If so would you consider reporducing more and selling some? Or at least just one for me! How big is it. Please include laminating and a mailing tube in the price too. I really want 2, one for me and one for Tim to put in his rebuild shop. L

It is a two-sided chart. I had two separate copies made instead of back-to-back so I couild display them in my hangar. I have already received some PM's regarding this. Let me know how you want them, separate like I did or back-to-back.

I will pull the chart out later and measure it to give you an idea on size. I would be more than happy to make copies, but If I remember correctly it was not cheap. I had it copied at the local blueprint shop, they do a great job. Whatever the actual cost of reproducing and shipping turns out to be is all it will cost.

If you need it I use a drafting supply that makes copies for me that usually run under $5 for a drawing three feet on a side. I haven't done any in color but mono drawings and documents are very reasonable.

What are the dimensions and I will get a price next time I am in there. For my purposes the single side B&W would be fine, but the color probably does look better in a frame.

We have a color copier up to 11x17 [ it might go to the next size up....whatever that is] as well as B&W drawings copier. More than glad to make copies for the tribe at no cost + shipping. Might ship in tubes for protection.

OK, guys. Make sure you are seated before reading further.

Here is exactly what it cost me, I have the receipt in front of me.

Size was 16"x21.5" ink jet color copy $35.70 (that was for both sides so $17.85 per side). Worked out in their figures to 6 square feet.

5mm laminate, same size, was $11.39 (also for both pieces, 6 square feet).

I am going to double check those costs because they seemed a little steep then. I just haven't had a chance to get back over to the blueprint place. I don't trust anyplace else because I have had stuff damaged at Kinko-type places. They hire teenagers to do this stuff.

If this stuff doesn't scare you just let me know. I should be able to get over to the blueprint place tomorrow to confirm prices. See if we can get a quantity discount.

HOLY CRUD THAT'S HIGH! I do have to agree with you on the quick copy type places. It's like allowing a line boy to wipe your windshield, DON'T. Those high school kids can really mess up an original drawing or a windshield. That's why I only use the drafting supply and won't let anyone else put fuel in my plane.
I will try and find out what I can get copies for.

I appreciate your offer, but I do not want to ship this across country just to save a few bucks. This is the only one of these I have found and is folded, so the folds are definitely weaker than the rest of the print. It does copy extremely well and looks like the original when done. I was very happy with the detail of the copy from the blueprint company. I am going to recheck this price tomorrow and see what they say.

Shipping the original is NOT a god idea. If we can save a significant amount we might want to copy a good COPY. I think even the Smithsonian doesn't make first generation copies of the really "hard to get" stuff.
