    Re: Faa preliminary accident report

Thank you Robert , that is very appropriate. Medical issue may explain a lot. The whole Taylorcraft Community offers our deepest condolences to the family. I was to call Laura this morning, wil do so this evening. I had never met them in person. I will fly a memorial flight here in Alliance around the old factory tomorrow. Some of our tribe here may join me. No words can express our feelings. Farewell to Josh, till we meet again.... bye Forrest

      Re: Faa preliminary accident report

I heard again from Skip Palmer and his offer stands to pick up anyone who wants to attend the memorial service tomorrow. If anyone is nervous about the 1900' strip he will also pick up at Pitt- Greenville.
Josh's EAA chapter is having their fly-in on October 15. Josh always loved their fly-ins and flew constantly giving rides and competing in the contests. Skip said they would be honored if some of us could attend in Josh's honor. He said the Aerodrome is not going to be the same without their little white Taylorcraft flying around it. Any chance we could get enough Taylorcrafts there for a missing man?

Farewell to Josh from San Antonio, TX. He will be very missed as he had been in discussion with our T-Craft community immediately after he purchased his ship...it was always a pleasure assisting him. Farewell from your fellow T-Crafters and EEA (Chapters 35 and 92) brethren. Doc

For those of you that are unaware, there is a guest book for Josh at this link. I signed it a couple of days ago. Perhaps some of you may want to take advantage as most of us could not attend the memorial. http://www.legacy.com/guestbook/refl...id=sp_gbupdate

I was just doing some follow-up to this and apparently a neighbors video camera caught the crash. Though they don't show it on this video clip it explains about it. Maybe it will help determine a cause. http://www2.wnct.com/news/2011/jul/2...nt-ar-1248820/

And another with a little further explanation: http://www.reflector.com/news/video-...e-crash-604061

There will be a lot of interest in finding out what the NTSB final report has to say , It is very curious as Forrest mentioned the NTSB has the right aileron, we will all want to know, Does anyone know if Josh had sholder harness's. Its still a tough thing to read about.
