those of you with higher compression and the strokers can you still run car gas of 91 octane what is the highest compression to run 91 octane. can you in a dons dream machines motor

I dont run high compression because gas without alcohol is hard to come by in some areas, limiting your possibilities. Don's motors are certified for the gas that your original engine was certified for. Tim

When you say "high compression" do you mean C-90/O200 compression or are you talking about an uncertified hot rod?

The C-90 and O200 will run fine on 80 octane avgas or 87 octane auto gas, as will a C-85 with an O200 crank STC.

well im looking at the c85 with o200 crank and rods

you get stock o200 compression with this set up

but id rather add the 85 pistons to it.

my question i guess then can you still run 91 octane with the 85 pistons on the o200 crank and rods?

or does anybody have an 0200 with 85 pistons running car gas?
