      Re: BC12D Bungee tool

Sounds like its time to make another batch of these tools.

Some components have an increased price so I need to re-figure the overall price.

Some materials are purchased in bulk so the costs can be quite old and now some need to be replenished at a higher cost.

The last batch was $113 including shipping.

My best guess is that the increase will be nominal, ie less than $10.

I don't have an ETA yet for the completion of the batch but will figure that out.

Does anyone need a tool ASAP because they have a bungee problem?

        Re: BC12D Bungee tool

I would really like to get together with other people in each region so we could share tools. Not just bungee tools, we used to get together when one of us had an annual and it was great to help look over another guys plane and do some socializing. Nothing like opening up your plane with several other enthusiasts for the type. The IA/A&Ps love it too because WE see things they would probably miss and they have it pretty easy since we do all the opening, cleaning and closing up, including making most of the repairs.
First thing I did when I got home was look for anything seen on the annual plane or talked about as problems on any of the other guys planes. It makes maintenance FUN. I haven't done a bungee change yet, but I know it would be really nice to have someone there who had done it before.
If anyone in the mid-Atlantic area is interested in getting a regional group going again let me know. I would think from my perspective I would want to get with anyone from S. Carolina north to Philadelphia and as far west as the Appalachians. Basically as far as a day flight in a Taylorcraft (man am I ever assuming tail winds both ways!). There are several of us in the south east Virginia area and I am sure we have enough guest bedrooms for an overnight and a great party.

            All:
1- I have used Dave's Bungee Tool twice and I highly recommend it for ease of use and the small amount of time required to install the bugees. About an hour plus removing and replacing the floor boards.
2- On the "Regional" Tcraft Club [RTC] Hank, I'm all for it, specially to share tools/tricks/help/ideas/annuals, etc.., and the like. I may suggest a Virginial/Carolinas/West VA/MD/PA/DE for the mid atlantic group....about within 2 hours away from my home base at Warrenton VA, or yours at Hampton VA. Just an idea.

I am fiinishing a batch now.

This batch is $125 and that is for the tool and shipping and insurance.

              The tool itself is $110.

I had to replenish materials & parts that I had run out of.

              Comes with instructions, Satisfaction guaranteed.
