No, the day I sounded guilty was when my wife found the other two condoms! They come in packs of 3 you know. Lucky I took the pictures for the pharmacist. She just rolled her eyes and said something like "only you".

The pharmacist laughed himself silly. He really didn't believe me and said he couldn't figure out why I thought I had to explain why I wanted them. What I DIDN'T want was anything on the condom that could contaminate the tank and some of them were REALLY expensive. I wanted the CHEAPEST ones I could get.

This is the same way we checked Tims tank before recovering the fuselage. L

          Tailwind,

This isn't the answer you are looking for, but here's a related suggestion:

I fill my main tank thru the wing tanks. It helps keep the water migrating south, and also any particles of rust or dirt get flushed south also each time I fill. It takes a little longer than just dumping fuel in the main tank, but I let the wing tanks feed into the main while I do my normal post flight (put the plane away) routine.

Same thing I do. There is another advantage. If you shut the wing valve before all of the fuel has drained to the main the line is already primed and when you finish filling all the tanks the wing tank transfer starts easier. I have talked to several people who had trouble getting the wing to start transferring. When I rebuilt the fuel system on the 41 I found the line squeezed partly shut at the turn down the "A" pillar. I am hoping the fuel transfer will work better now.

I always try to fill the main tank after flying. I always, always.... drain the gasolater before flying. A fellow took off in a luscombe here a month ago, without draining it. The engine quit just after liftoff. He crossed a road and buried the nose in a plowed field destroying the airplane. He was ok after several stitches in forehead. I always suspect gas scource! Small airport, tank half full, etc. etc. including filter system. (I use 100 Av only with MMO.) 1500 gal. tank, slow gas sales, lots of space in tank, its gotta condense doesn't it? (I use only my main tank, wings empty to help with weight on takeoff. Should I put some in the wings? It says to fill main from wings in level flight only. True? JC
